 Performance Reference Model
Performance reference model define the standard terminologies to refer  common  performance requirements.
Enterprise architecture use the standard performance requirement terminology to communicate and referring to  reusable resources.
It is similar to the standard sizes for shirts, pants and shoes so that customer can find the proper merchant base on the standard size.
 The myth of PRM
It is a major EA myth that OMB defined PRM as the performance measurement model.
Performance measurement has been essential in the discipline of business management but it is not pertinent in the context of the engineering of reuse.
The first thing for engineering practice is the performance requirement  rather than performance measurement.
The performance reference model should be the performance requirement reference rather then the performance measurement reference.
Performance measurements is imposed after the fact of engineering rather before engineering effort.

For each line of business, it is possible to identify the a pattern of IT solutions.
For example: The banking, the insurance, the legal industry .
